Careers at Carthage: Faculty Positions

Seeking applicants for an Assistant Professor of Mathematics position with an anticipated start date of August 16, 2025. We seek an educator to teach courses in undergraduate mathematics, with an emphasis on statistics. The position will be a multi-year renewable contract with an initial term of three years.

Seeking applications for a one-year visiting assistant professor position starting August 16, 2025. Applicants should have a strong interest in undergraduate education and a MS or Ph.D., preferred, in Chemistry or a related field. Primary teaching responsibility is general chemistry. Ability to also teach organic chemistry laboratory is preferred.

The Department of Chemistry at Carthage College invites applications for part-time laboratory teaching positions. Instructors are currently needed to teach sections of General Chemistry Laboratory for Spring Term 2025 (February to May), preferably during the day.

The Carthage College Art Department is currently accepting applications for adjunct studio art faculty. The positions are for the 2025 spring semester and begin February 5 and end May 21. Applicants may apply to teach 1-3 courses .

Seeking a dedicated and experienced engineering educator to join the faculty as a tenure-track Assistant Professor of Engineering starting August 2025. Carthage College admitted its first cohort of engineering students Fall 2023. We seek a teacher-scholar with expertise in thermal-fluids energy systems to contribute to our new non-disciplinary engineering programs.
